Tibet’s Treasure is an educational group initiated voluntarily by LTWA staffs and strongly supported by the director and administration of Library of Tibetan Works and Archives to mark its Golden jubilee celebration. The group’s coming into existence is based on the inspiration and far-sighted vision of His Holiness the Dalai Lama. We aim to provide a stable and continuous platform to receive and share the wisdom of learned scholars and practitioners around the world and to provide a platform for discussion and exchange of views on topics like Buddhist philosophy, Tibetan language and culture, secular ethics, science and health amongst Tibetan and Himalayan people and others who are interested. Our focus is especially the youth who need constant guidance and kindness in today’s volatile world. We hope to gradually extend the scope of our reach and activities as we gather more experience and support.
In its initial stage the talks and exchanges will mainly take place in Tibetan and later on in other languages as well.
We will be organizing our programs both through virtual and physical meetings and hope to make a positive impact on the preservation and promotion of our rich cultural heritage which has the potential to introduce kindness and wisdom which is so much needed in today’s world suffering from inner poverty.
